No, David!

Before: 

  • What do you think this book is about?

During: 

  • Discuss each page as you read them.

    • What did David do wrong?

    • Can anyone relate? 

      • Raise your hand if you...

        • every tried to sneak a snack?

        • played with your food?

        • sat too close to the tv

After:

  • Even after getting into trouble time and time again why do you think David gets a hug?  

  • How do you think David felt when he got a hug?

Library Orientation

 

Review library rules and manners after reading No David! by David Shannon.

 

  • Hand out a No David paddle to each student.

  • Tell the students that you are going to be telling them things that David did in the library.  

  • After each statement, they need to show you the either the Yes or No David side of their paddle and say 'Yes, David!' or 'No, David!'

    • i.e. "David ran in the library"

      • "No, David!"
